Garden Design, Berkeley, CA: Goodman Landscape Design

This David Stark Wilson contemporary home was inspired by the Agrarian shapes of the West. The perhaps unexpected use of curvilinear beds and walls blend organically with the rectilinear shapes of the house, concrete walls and landings, gracefully tying in the architecture with the natural environment. Sculpting large berms allowed for more interesting spacial organization and privacy. Drifts of plants meander gently through the garden, undulating with the curving rock walls which mimmic the mountains across the bay.
